Function Blocks describe the related capabilities of a digital twin (its status- and configuration properties, events, and operations). Function Blocks are re-used across different Information Models. IoT Solutions communicate with devices via these abstract Function Block compliant interfaces and can leverage the semantics of IoT entities.
