Provides Tags for Jetty HttpClient request metrics. Incubating in case there emerges a better way to handle path variable detection.

Provides tags to be associated with metrics for the given client request.

Parameters:

result - the request result

Returns:

tags to associate with metrics recorded for the request

uriPattern

String uriPattern(org.eclipse.jetty.client.api.Result result)

For client metric to be usefully aggregable, we must be able to time everything that goes to a certain endpoint, regardless of the parameters to that endpoint.

Parameters:

result - The result which also contains the original request.

Returns:

A URI pattern with path variables and query parameter unsubstituted.
