Declares the threading requirement for an adapter operation. The SDK dispatches to the appropriate thread before calling the adapter.
Return one of MAIN, BACKGROUND, or ANY. This type remains an interface for binary compatibility with existing adapters; custom implementations are unsupported and are treated as ANY by the SDK.
