setFollowRedirects

void setFollowRedirects(boolean followRedirects)

Follow 3XX series redirects

Parameters:

followRedirects - true to follow redirects, false otherwise

addRequestHeader

void addRequestHeader(java.lang.String headerName,
                      java.lang.String headerValue)

Adds a header to the connection (Must be done before reading/writing)

Parameters:

headerName - the header name

headerValue - the header value

getOutputStream

java.io.OutputStream getOutputStream()
                              throws java.io.IOException

Gets the stream to write to the request

Returns:

the output stream to write onto

Throws:

java.io.IOException - if something goes wrong while getting the stream

getInputStream

java.io.InputStream getInputStream()
                            throws java.io.IOException

Gets the stream to read to the response

Returns:

the input stream to read from

Throws:

java.io.IOException - if something goes wrong while getting the stream

getResponseCode

int getResponseCode()
             throws java.io.IOException

Gets the response code for the request

Returns:

the HTTP status code
