This is a functional interface and can therefore be used as the assignment target for a lambda expression or method reference.

Criterion for deciding whether a number is an integer. Implementations are expected to be stateless and thread safe. Note that this class does not necessarily decide whether the type integer should be used over number in the resulting schema. That is the job of the IntegerTypePreference.
