public final class RTControllerClientProxy
extends java.lang.Object

RTControllerClientProxy is a client-side interface to RTController. It abstracts away the details of remotely communicating with our instrumentation runtime, RT.

Lifecycle model:

1. an instance is acquired using the Factory method;
2. the same instance can then execute(Request) several RPC requests. A TCP socket connection is only active when a request is being processed.

Factory method for creating a client proxy that will communicate with RTController at a given TCP socket host/port endpoint.

参数:

host - server host name in InetAddress.getByName(java.lang.String) format [may not be null]

port - server port [must be in must be in [1, 65535] range]

返回:

a new proxy instance

抛出:

java.net.UnknownHostException

execute

public Response execute(Request request)
                 throws java.io.IOException

Dispatches a given RPC request and blocks until a response is returned from the server or the RPC layer errors out. Creates a new TCP socket connection on each invocation.

参数:

request - RPC request [may not be null]

返回:

RPC response [never null]

抛出:

java.io.IOException - on any RPC failure
