allocateByteBuffer

ByteBuffer allocateByteBuffer(int size)

Allocates a byte buffer. The allocated byte buffer will be direct if that is the best format for the writer. The allocated byte buffer will be array-based if that is the best format for the writer.

Parameters:

size - The size of the buffer.

Returns:

An allocated buffer of the requested size.
