A factory pattern to create an instance of JAX-RS Application provided an instance of Environment. The implementations are identified through ServiceLoader.

Creates an instance JAX-RS Application.

Parameters:

environment - the Environment of this application server

Returns:

the Application instance or null if no application can be created

path

String path()

Specifies the context path at which the created Application at createApplication(Environment) should be accessible. The implementations might be able to use Environment.getContextPath().

Returns:

the context path of JAX-RS application
